The PlayStation 2 is the most revolutionary console ever. Period. The technology inside it is pretty cool beans if you ask me. I mean to be able to run some of the games it did in 2000 no less is just kind of insane.
Take for example I think it was one of the resident evil games, it looked so good almost like a ps3 game, mainly due to the way they had a fog effect combined with small rooms and limited camera movement which allowed for more console resources to be dedicated to the visual aspect.
It could also handle ray tracing. Ray tracing? In 2000? I hear you say. Yes that’s correct. It was that ahead of its time. The PlayStation 2 could raytrace in REAL time no less. It truly is a technological marvel.
Did you know that the ps2 was used in the making of supercomputers? How good!
It could also run linux and a sort of developer kit which is nice I guess
